Uttaramnaya Jyotish Peetham is one of the Dharma Peethas established by Acharya
Jagadguru Sri Sri Sankara Bhagavatpada. Sri Thotaka Bhagavatpada was the first Acharya
of this Peetham. Sri Satya Theertha Mahaswamigal who came in the tradition of Acharyas
shifted the Peetha parampara to the divine tapobhoomi of Shakata Maharishi, on the banks
of Tunga River, in South India. This is popularly known as Sri Jagadguru Badari
Sankaracharya Samsthanam, Shakatapuram Sri Vidya Peetham.
The 33rd Acharya, Shakatapuram Sri Vidya Peetatheeswara Sri Jagadguru Badari
Sankaracharya SriVidhyabhinava Sri Sri Krishnananda Teertha Mahaswamigal will observe
Chaturmasya Vratham with all austerities and perform Vyasa Puja on Sunday, 25th July,
2010 at Shankaralayam, Mumbai, corresponding to Sri Sarvadhari year Ashada Purnima.
Sevas you can undertake during Chaturmasya
1. Bhikshavandanam - Rs.600 (daily)
2. Paada Puja - Rs.600 (daily)
3. Sarva Seva for one day, includes Bhikshavandanam, Padapuja, Annadaanam - Rs.11,000 (daily)
4. Annadaanam - Rs.10,000 (daily)
Besides the above, you can also contribute towards various social and meaningful
projects of the Sri Mutt, which are being undertaken for the benefit of devotees, at the
sacred place of Shakatapuram, details of which can be had from the Administrator -
Sri Kariyam - Shri M. Chandramouleeshwaran. For house visits (subject to availability of
convenient days) and other pujas, special rituals during Chaturmasya, Raksha etc., please
contact the Mutt’s office at Shree Hariharaputra Bhajan Samaj, Chembur. You can also
sponsor items like Rice, Dal, Sugar, Pulses, Ghee, Oil, Milk, Flowers etc. to be used at the
Mumbai camp and at Shakatapuram.

10 to 10.30 am - Suvasini Prasadam
10.30 to 11.30 am - Darshanam of His Holiness
11.30 am onwards – Deeparadhana
11.40 am – Bhikshavandanam
5.30 to 7 pm - Sri Vidya Vishweshwara Chandramouleeshwara Pooja
7 to 8 pm - Darshanam of His Holiness
The above morning timings are subject to change and may vary on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays. There will be no special Darshanam of His Holiness on days of Pravachan and
special festival poojas
