Annual Get-together 2012
The Samaj’s Annual Get-together was held on Sunday, 29th April, 3 pm onwards, on the 4th floor Hall of
the Samaj. Prof RSS Mani and his vibrant team - comprising Paramesh, Thangu, Sidhi, Bharati, Ananya, Advait
and Kamlesh – had meticulously planned the entire event, making it interesting, lively and most enjoyable.
It was a refreshing change to see new themes and more youngsters organizing the event. A good number of
gifts and prizes were showered liberally on all those who were present, including the guests. The traditional
Gujarati food was delicious, with a good variety of mouth-watering delights and aamras being the highlight.
At the time of departure, everybody was given a useful and meaningful gift, i.e. a pleasing coloured small
shoulder (travel) bag.
The wedding anniversary of Meera and Raman, along with the birthday of Mrs. Geetha Radhakrishnan was
celebrated with cutting of cakes and loud cheering.
For the first time, MUSICAL HOUSIE was introduced in our Samaj; very well conceived by a team - Thangu,
Kamlesh, Annanya and Sidhi - and equally well conducted by Sidhi and Prof Mani.
A happy and memorable time was had by all.

5.30 - 6.45 pm: Quiz & Antakshari with Teams
6.55 - 7.30 pm: Introduction of Samaj Shakti Awardees 2012 & Guests
7.35 - 8.15 pm: Musical Housie
8.15 - 8.30 pm: Lucky Draw (Super Duper Prizes!)
8.35 pm onwards: Aamras Dinner
